COOLING

When it comes to high performance and efficiency, nothing cools better than the Unico System.  It is idea for both new construction and existing home renovations.  The key to preformance is the high velociity air handler and the mini-duct system.  The air handler (blower) moves half the air of standard  air conditioning systems at 3 times the speed.

Conventional systems often leave homes with hot and cold spots as will as drafts.  They have large outlets and ductwork and need to move tremendous amounts of air to work. 

The Unico System uses "aspiration," which refers to the dissemination of treaded air in the room.  The air is both cooled and compressed in the main unit.  Then the cool compressed air is shot through the tubing.  When the air reaches the room through the small 2 inch diameter outlet in the ceiling it expanses rapidly-creating a low pressure zone around it.  This low pressure draws air that is in the room into the stream of cold air.

The result is a great deal of air movement with in the room.  Although there is this increase in air movement, it is not "drafty."  The air coming from the outlet does not blow across the room and blow candles out.  It expands immediatety upon existing the outlet.  The only area in which a breeze can be felt is within an 8" cone extending from from the outlet.  This causes air to circulate around the entire space being treaded by the air conditioner.

The flexible mini-ducts of the Unico System fits easily behind walls and ceiling, allowing you to maintain the architectural integrity of your home.  Crafted to weave around and through existing construction, the mini-ducts eliminate the need for unsightly and cumbersome metal ducts.  The compact air handler can be installed in the attic, basement, garage ceiling or even closets.

Because the Unicio System is so easy to install, custom home applications are far more efficient and the system provides greater convenience for the home builder.  Four alternatives are also offered: heat pumps, standard cooling, chilled water cooling and hot water heating.
